She is the co-principal investigator for The Cost Analysis in Practice (CAP) Project, which provides researchers and practitioners free on-demand tools, guidance, and technical assistance related to cost analysis.
Jaunelle has extensive experience evaluating implementation, assessing cost, and conducting cost-effectiveness analysis of school-based interventions using a mixed methods approach. Jaunelle's expertise also extends to school finance and related studies focused on the cost of educational programs and interventions. In addition to her extensive economic evaluation expertise, she has examined non-academic supports in multiple contexts including post-secondary transitions, rural education, and postsecondary success. Jaunelle was a teacher before pursuing a career in research.
Jaunelle led the development of the Regional Educational Laboratory Appalachia’s Cost-Feasibility Analysis Toolkit for Supplemental Online Programs to help education leaders estimate whether implementing supplemental online programs is affordable given a school or district's available resources.
Jaunelle served on the IES Postsecondary Learning and Instruction Review Panel in 2020 and 2021 as a cost analysis expert.
